CIRE Professional Development Report

CIRE Professional Development Report

In September 2022, a ‘Working Group’ was convened to discuss and develop recommendations
to the Provost about professional development for Clinical, In Residence, and Extension (CIRE)
faculty.
The Working Group was charged with the following purpose:
The Parties recognize the importance of non-tenure track faculty to the University and its
mission. The parties also acknowledge that, in practice, non-tenure track faculty do not
have the same opportunities for sabbatical leave as their colleagues in tenured positions.
Therefore, the parties agree to establish a joint labor-management working group to discuss
ways the University can support non-tenure track faculty in the advancement of knowledge
or professional improvement to the mutual benefit of the University and the individual.

On March 31, 2023 the group submitted the final report.  A copy of the full report can be found here
