Guidance for the Development of Faculty Workload Assignment Policy
It has been brought to our attention that UConn leadership is informing faculty that UConn-AAUP “collaborated” with the Provost office in creating this Guidance document. This is absolutely not true. In fact, UConn-AAUP adamantly objected to this document, claiming that it is a mandatory subject of bargaining and should have been brought to the negotiating table during negotiations. UConn-AAUP is pursuing a Labor Board charge for bargaining in bad faith.
Anti-Privatization Rally @ UConn Storrs, Friday September 9, 2022, 4:00 pm
A rally to support the custodians and tradesmen who work at the University of Connecticut’s Storrs campus athletic facility has been called by the Connecticut Employees Union Independent (CEUI). Two supervisors and 25 custodians have been moved from the athletic facility to other positions as the university attempts to hire an outside agency to do the custodial work. Register for the rally and get updates here. More information will be forthcoming.
