UConn-AAUP not only negotiates the collective bargaining agreement but also ensures that it is followed. UConn-AAUP bargaining unit members may find themselves in situations where they are unsure if the administration is taking an action(s) that may impact the terms and conditions of their employment. UConn-AAUP Chapter CLAS Workload Increase Grievance Arbitration
UConn Labor Relations reached out to UConn-AAUP to ask for a postponement of the July 21st CLAS Workload arbitration date. After consulting with our attorney, UConn-AAUP agreed to postpone, with the understanding that the parties would use the July 21st date to try and resolve the CLAS grievance and the two articles not resolved in past negotiations. We have five members that have come forward to testify on the increases in workload they have experienced over the past couple of years and what the CLAS changes will mean if imposed to their workloads. They will also assist in discussion of Article 30 and Article 14.
UConn-AAUP is pleased to announce we are offering tickets again this year for the Organized Labor night with the Hartford Yard Goats on 9/5/26.
