Merit Increases & Retro Active Payments
Merit for 2025-2026: There is no merit in the 2025-2026. Instead there is a 2.5% general wage increase and a 2% one-time performance-based award instead of merit that is retroactive to August 2025. This 4.5% increase is added to your base salary. For “active” members (those currently working), we have just learned that the increase in your paycheck will occur on the June 12, 2026 paycheck date and the retro lump sum will occur on August 21, 2026. Any updates on this information will be sent out immediately. We do not know when those who retired during the AY 25-26 will receive their retroactive pay.
There is merit is available for August 23, 2026 and August 23, 2027. This comes from the 2nd and 3rd year of the contract that includes the general wage increase of 2.5% and the merit increase of 2.0%. Evaluations for merit should be being conducted now, which may include last year and this year, for August 23, 2026, and Spring 2027 for the August 23, 2027 academic year. Please call or email if you have any further questions.
